Trader Joe's Fall Haul - Part One

I’d planned to make bean burritos for dinner. Not a bad choice by any stretch, but none of us were in the mood for it when Wednesday rolled around. So, as Jill and I were out running errands we decided to run by Trader Joe’s and see what we could rustle up for a quick and easy dinner. If you don’t know, Trader Joe’s has a ton of options for quick dinners. In fact, I really should do an entire post just about dinners… but as today is October 1, this is a full recap of my Trader’s Joe’s Fall Haul….Part 1… because there’s that much. Be still my heart.

Pumpkin Protein Smoothie

I love smoothies for breakfast in the morning. What I don’t love is the mess and clean-up. Ready to go smoothies are my jam and normally I head to Costco to stock up. When I saw these next to the TJ’s cold pressed juices (which are awesome!!) I knew I had to try them. They did not disappoint. So yummy and so easy for a quick on the go breakfast. I tried both the Pumpkin and Chai and they were delicious.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Every Friday at my house is a treat breakfast. We’ll grab some fritters from our local grocery store bakery, a pumpkin scone and PSL from Starbucks or even a breakfast burrito from the taco shop we love. When is saw these beauties I knew they’d make the perfect addition to our fall treat line-up.

Pumpkin Cream Cheese

Y’all know I love a good schmear of anything on my bagels and toast. I just found some pumpkin bagels a the grocery store (TJ’s has them too!) so this lovely little concoction was a no brainer. Pumpkin on pumpkin! Yes, please!

Pumpkin Joe-Joes

This purchase is a little taboo in my house. My husband is a purist when it comes to sandwich cookies and will only eat Oreos. Not only that, he will only eat original Oreos - no double stuff, no thin, no mint, … you get the idea. So bringing in a different brand and a different flavor is a little like sleeping with the enemy. So does he like them? I have no idea - he won’t touch them. But I think they are fantastic and make for the perfect little after-dinner treat.

Pumpkin Toaster Pastries

Every year on my birthday as I officially kick-off the fall season, my girls buy me a box of pumpkin pop-tarts. Yes, I know they are a box of processed sugar and corn syrup, but they taste so darn good. Last year we discovered we these and while I understand they’re still not a health food, I feel a little better because at least they’re organic. Hey, it’s a start…

Pumpkin Tortilla Chips

I get these every year and every year I love, love, love them. Treat yourself my friends, you will not be disappointed.

Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese

This was a Jill pick. Jill loves mac and cheese but she is pretty particular about which ones she likes. Every Halloween I make a butternut squash pasta with fun Halloween shaped pasta and she loves it. So, when we spotted this in the frozen section she wanted to give it a go. She loved it! It will definitely be a repeat purchase.

Okay that’s it…for now. They have soooo many other fall options. I promise a Part 2 is coming soon! Let me if you try any of these and what are some of your fall favorites.
